That Goderich Town Council hereby accepts the May 20, 2025, Regular Council Agenda, as amended.

That Goderich Town Council hereby adopts the April 28, 2025, Regular Council Minutes, as printed.

That Goderich Town Council supports in principle for the Maitland Valley Conservation Authority, to do further assessment work, design work, consultation and agency discussion in order to work towards piloting strategies for increasing coastal resilience in Southern Lake Huron.

That Goderich Town Council give staff the power to act to forward a letter to the Premier of Ontario to urge the Government of Ontario to pause and reconsider the path forward for Bill 5 for a more inclusive approach, one that involves municipalities, Indigenous leadership, environmental experts, and the public, that can help ensure that development proceeds in a way that aligns with our shared values and long-term well-being.

That Goderich Town Council rise at 4:37 PM and go into Closed Session pursuant to Section 239(2)(e), (f), and (k); And Further That Chief Administrative Officer, Janice Hallahan, Director of Legislative Services/Clerk, Andrea Fisher, Director of Corporate Services/Treasurer, Deanna Hastie, Director of Community Services, Infrastructure, and Operations, Sean Thomas, Deputy Clerk (Records Management Clerk), Amanda Banting, and Administrative Assistant to the Director of Legislative Services/Clerk, Mandy Powell, remain in attendance.

That Goderich Town Council rise and come out of Closed Session at 5:07 PM.

That the Staff Reports be received for information and the noted action be approved.

That Goderich Town Council refers the request from Kim Burgsma, United Way Perth-Huron re: Cookbook Sponsorship, to staff for a report back to Council.

That Goderich Town Council defers agenda item 9.3 Peter Gusso, Part II Bistro re: Mobile Ice Cream Cart at Goderich Beaches pending consultation with Mr. Gusso and the Rotary Club of Goderich.

That the correspondence be received for information.

That Goderich Town Council supports the request from the Huron Chamber of Commerce to the Province of Ontario to Reopen and Extend the Regional Economic Development through Immigration Pilot Program.

That the correspondence items be received for information and the noted action be approved.

That Goderich Town Council defers agenda item 12.1 Zoning By-Law Amendment Application GOD Z02-2025 - Southcove Developments Inc. (Mark Sully) to the May 27, 2025, Special Council meeting.

That By-Laws 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 79 and 80 of 2025, be read a first, second, and third time, collectively.

That leave be given to introduce By-Law No. 81 of 2025 being a By-Law to confirm the proceedings of the Goderich Town Council meeting held on May 20, 2025, and that it now be read a first, second, and third time, and finally passed this May 20, 2025.

That Goderich Town Council does now adjourn at 5:43 PM to meet again at the May 27, 2025, Special Council meeting.
