Council Meeting

That the Town of Goderich Council hereby accepts the October 3, 2022 regular Council Agenda, as presented.

That the Town of Goderich Council hereby adopts the September 20, 2022 regular Council Minutes, as printed.

That Council approve in principle the development of a 39-unit Huron County-owned and operated residential building on Gibbons Street; And that Council direct an agreement for the transfer of 1.1 acres be prepared for consideration and approval of the next term of Council; And that Council authorize the initiation of the required planning amendments on the subject lands and direct staff to circulate a notice of public meeting for the November 1, 2022 meeting of Goderich Town Council.

That Council approve the development and concur with the planning report dated October 3, 2022, regarding the effect of public and agency comments on the decisions regarding OPA11 and GOD Z07-21 - 191 Suncoast Drive East.

That the Truly Nolen account in the amount of $2,314.39 be approved for payment.

That the accounts for the period ending September 26, 2022, in the amount of $2,335,797.33 be approved for payment.

That the Staff Reports be received for information and the noted action be approved.

That Goderich Town Council provide a letter of support to the Ontario Provincial Police regarding having a vessel moored at the Goderich Harbour to enhance marine visibility and patrols.

That By-Laws 127 and 128 of 2022 be taken collectively.

That By-Laws 127 and 128 of 2022 be read a first and second time.

That Council rise at 5:30 p.m. and go into Closed Committee of the Whole Session pursuant to Section 239(2)(h)(i)(j) of the Municipal Act.

That Council rise and come out of Closed Committee of the Whole Session at 5:52 p.m.

That Council contribute an additional $14.000.00 from the contingency reserve towards doctors recruitment and healthcare support.

That leave be given to introduce By-Law No. 129-2022 being a By-Law to confirm the proceedings of the Goderich Town Council meeting held on October 3, 2022, and that it now be read a first, second, and third time, and finally passed this October 3, 2022.

That Goderich Town Council does now adjourn at 5:59 pm to meet again at the regular meeting of Council scheduled for October 17, 2022.
